Little did we know that Alia Bhatt who made a fascinating debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year with Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra will now rule the Bollywood and how! The actress proved her acting mettle when she starred in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway alongside Randeep Hooda, she proved that she is going to stay here for long. Years passed and Alia proved her worth by starring in some powerful movies like Raazi, Kalank, Dear Zindagi and many more. Other than being a star kid, she let her work do all the talking. But did you know, at the age of 8, Alia’s life goal was ‘to become an actress.’

The age when most of the kids will not be able to answer their life goals or what they want to be when they grow up, Alia had all set since the beginning and her goal was to become an actress. The rest you know is history. Well, we stumbled upon a throwback video of an 8-yeard-old Alia who graced on a reality show, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai and there the actor-host Suresh Oberoi asked her what she wants to do in the future, she simply had said, “Actress banungi”. She did become one and that too one of the leading ladies in Bollywood.  

In the video, Soni and Mahesh were joined by Shaheen Bhatt and Alia on stage followed by a formal introduction of all. While introducing an 8-year-old Alia, Mahesh said, “Alia is aspiring to be an actress.” While introducing Shaheen, Pooja said, “I am sure she is not remotely interested in being an actress,” to which Shaheen replied, “Not at all”. On being asked if she wanted to become a director like Mahesh, she said she wanted to become a writer, which she did. Watch the video below:


On Alia’s work front, she has some interesting films that she can boast of like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and Karan Johar’s Takht.
